It is with sorrow that we announce to the College community the passing of Andre Weiszmann, Professor Emeritus from the Physics Department.
He passed away on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the age of 91. He was surrounded by the love of his family and considered CSI to be his second family. Professor Weiszmann was an esteemed member of the Doctoral Physics Faculty of CUNY in the Engineering Science and Physics Department (formerly called Applied Sciences) and retired from the College in 1994. He is survived by his loving wife, two daughters, and three beautiful grandchildren.
A funeral was held yesterday in his memory. At his family’s request, if anyone wishes to make a donation in his name, please contact the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC.
