This summer, the College is expecting 2,500 incoming students to participate in SPLASH: CSI’s New Student Orientation program, beginning in June. This program is designed to help new students become familiar with the CSI campus, provide them with the necessary information they need to become successful students, and help them navigate through their initial advisement and registration process for their first semester of classes.

Volunteer staff members from across the campus, who have assisted with the orientation programs in the past, have been a tremendous help in making these programs successful for our incoming students. In continuing these efforts, I write to you at this time to encourage your support and participation as volunteers in the orientation programs for fall 2015. The SPLASH sessions are scheduled to occur on the following dates:

-June 4 and June 5 (Thursday and Friday)

-June 11 and June 12 (Thursday and Friday)

-July 1 and July 2 (Wednesday and Thursday)

-July 8 and July 9 (Wednesday and Thursday)

-July 15 and July 16 (Wednesday and Thursday)

-July 29 and July 30 (Wednesday and Thursday)

Aug. 5 and Aug. 6 (Wednesday and Thursday)

Aug. 13 and Aug. 14 (Thursday and Friday)

Aug. 20 and Aug. 21 (Thursday and Friday)

There are some activities in which volunteer support is needed on both days of the orientation programs, including assistance with the check-in process on Day One and guiding students through the registration process on Day Two. Please see below for more details regarding designated times and specific information regarding each of these activities:

Check-In Process

Volunteers are needed to welcome students to CSI and to help check them into the orientation program. Volunteers are paired with a New Student Orientation Leader, and will assist a Leader at a check-in table.

On Day One of Each Orientation:
