The College of Staten Island men’s volleyball squad takes to the road for the second day in a row.  Tonight’s match will pit the Dolphins against CUNYAC opponents, Brooklyn College. CSI is currently on a six game losing skid after losing to Purchase College 1-3 last night and will hope they can bounce back and defeat the Bulldogs like they did earlier this year.

CSI vs. BROOKLYN COLLEGE AT-A-GLANCE
Matchup:  CSI (4-13 overall, 2-7 CUNYAC) vs. Brooklyn College (5-14 Overall, 2-7 CUNYAC)
Where:  Brooklyn College – 2900 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY
First Serve: 6:00pm
All-Time Series: CSI leads 3-0
Last Year’s Result:   Dolphins won both 3-0, 3-0
Players To Watch (CSI):  Khaleeq Baum is coming off of a career high 9 kill performance against Purchase College while hitting .056. Baum’s height is a deadly weapon for the Dolphins’ attack as his 6-4 frame allows him to jump and see past his potential blockers. Justin Edwardsen is always a threat to slam one home as he leads the Dolphins with 108 kills on the year.
Players to Watch (BC):  Rudy Zhao and Vaughn Titus have amassed 190 and 182 kills, respectively, and will look to add to their totals tonight.  Zhao and Titus will use tonight as a revenge game as they were leading the Dolphins 2-0 earlier this year before CSI came storming back to win three straight and take the match. Sayuj Zachariah has 378 assists on the year and will add to that total tonight as he moves the ball to Zhao and Titus to help the Bulldogs put points on the board.
News and Notes: Tonight’s match will mark the fourth meeting between these two squads with Staten Island holding a 3-0 edge.  In their first two meetings the Dolphins swept the Bulldogs 3-0, however this year the Bulldogs have bolstered their roster and almost defeated the Dolphins earlier this year before a remarkable comeback saw the Dolphins stay undefeated against Brooklyn.  Both teams have similar CUNYAC records and will continue to battle to improve their CUNYAC standing as both teams currently sit towards the bottom of the conference.
