The last of College of Staten Island fall sports lineup has officially released its 2016 schedule, as men’s and women’s cross-country will be looking towards their slate with heavy anticipation.  Both units have identical meet schedules, with the men aiming for a fourth consecutive CUNYAC Championship and the women looking to rise to the ranks of CUNYAC supremacy.

The meet schedule begins on Labor Day weekend, when CSI travels to familiar Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY, to participate in the Baruch College Invitational.  From there, the Dolphins go six weekends in a row, with another stopover at Van Cortlandt for the York College Invitational on September 25.

Road stops include a trip to Purchase College and Annandale-on-Hudson at the Bard College Invitational on back-to-back Saturdays beginning September 10.  After CSI travels to the Hudson Valley Sports Dome to participate at the Mount Saint Mary College Invitational, the Dolphins will host their very own meet at Clove Lakes Park in Staten Island, on October 9.  Their meet will feature a new twist, as the women’s race will be a 6k and the men an 8k.  The CSI Invitational was normally a 5k race for both sexes.

The race season ends at Van Cortlandt Park on October 30 at the CUNYAC Championships.  From there, the ECAC Division III and the NCAA Division III Regional Championships will be raced on back-to-back weekends at venues yet to be determined.  The Dolphins hope to be there with championships in tow.
