The College of Staten Island women’s tennis team will once again defend their home court this week after taking down Rutgers-Newark earlier in the week.  The Dolphins are on a two match win streak and have also won three of their last four. The Pioneers of William Paterson University will join the Dolphins at the CSI Tennis Center for a non-conference match at 3:30 pm.

Players to Watch (CSI): Tristian Adragna has now won CUNYAC Rookie of the Week three times this season and boasts a 8-3 overall record. Also helping the Dolphins to a 6-6 overall record is Diana Sanchez who has played well from the number five slot with a 2-1 record.
 Players to Watch (WPU): Despite the team’s 1-8 overall record Brittany LaBruna has been outstanding for the Pioneers this season.  LaBruna is a perfect 9-0 from the number one position this season and is on a six match win streak.  Playing in the third position is Stephanie Doot and boasts a 3-5 overall record.
News and Notes:  The Dolphins and Pioneers played a close match last season, playing to a 5-4 score in favor of the Dolphins.  CSI will use their depth to look to defeat the Pioneers this afternoon as the Pioneers have struggled this season with their lone win coming against Rutgers Camden.
