The College of Staten Island women’s tennis program returned to the win column this afternoon with a 6-3 win over CUNYAC rivals, Hunter College.  The Dolphins improved to 5-6 overall and 3-2 in the CUNYAC with the win while the Hawks fell to 2-6 overall and 1-4 in the CUNYAC.

Play started out with doubles and saw the Dolphins jump out to a 2-1 lead after reigning CUNYAC Rookie of the Week Tristiana Adragna and Viktoriya Volkova won their match 8-4 on court two.  Just one court over on court three it as Aziza Jurabaeva and Guetanie Romain also won 8-4.

In singles play, Adragna continued her dominant form, staying undefeated in CUNYAC play with a 6-0, 6-4 win on court two.  Following up on that win was Dana Friedman, who has also played well for the Dolphins, secured a 6-1, 6-0 victory to help aid her team in the win.

The Dolphins will return to action on Thursday, October 13 at 4pm where they will take to the road to take on Ramapo College.
