Faculty Institute for Student Success–Inaugural Meeting on Students’ Sense of Belonging

The Faculty Institute for Student Success will have its inaugural meeting Thursday, Feb. 23 in the Faculty Center in the Library (Building 1L, Room 203) from 12:15pm to 2:00pm.

The theme for this meeting is “Students’ Sense of Belonging.” All faculty (both part-time and full-time) members and staff members are invited to attend. The Institute has ten adjunct faculty fellows who will participate in all three of the sessions planned for this semester. The session will feature presentations by Task Force members and other faculty members about practical ways to support our students’ sense of belonging, as well as a discussion of the issue. (Please note: While lunch will not be served, participants are welcome to bring their own lunch.)

The Institute is sponsored by the Student Success Task Force, the Provost’s Office, and the Faculty Center for Professional Development.
