American Music Week at CSI

Join us for American Music Week at CSI, when three events, produced either by the Music Program of the Performing and Creative Arts Department or by the Interdisciplinary Degree Program in American Studies, will highlight different aspects of American music.

-“When Classical Meets Jazz: George Gershwin,” a Music Hour with Yoojin Oh and Kyungmi Nam, piano/Olivier Fluchaire, violin

Tuesday, Mar. 28, Center for the Arts Recital Hall (Building 1P, Room 120) at 3:00pm

Admission: Free, CLUE credit available

-“Come Rap with Us!” a Freestyle Hip Hop Jam Session with audience participation, featuring the Legendary Cyphers: Atesh, Eli Black, Miky Hustles, Born Majestik, and Palladium Philoz

Tuesday, Mar. 28, at the fountain behind the Center for the Arts (Building 1P) at 2:30pm, and in the Center for the Arts Williamson Theatre at 3:00pm

Admission: Free, PG and CC CLUE credit available

-“A┬áHundred Years of Recorded Jazz: A Centennial Celebration,” a Music Hour with Bill Bauer, Director of American Studies
