Here is the latest information on the Loop Road construction:
Four-way Stop: Roadwork will commence again on Monday, Mar. 5, which will require closing of sections of the Loop Road. The first work area is near the four-way stop sign by the Victory Blvd. entrance. Those requiring access to Parking Lot 6 and the buildings 1M and 2M will need to continue straight from the Victory Blvd. entrance around the campus loop. The work involves demolition and repaving of the existing roadway beginning at the four-way stop sign. Two means of access to Parking Lot 6 will be maintained at all times. This work is scheduled from Mar. 5 to Tuesday, Mar. 13. The work will require the Campus Loop Bus to be detoured and will run only from the Victory Blvd. front gate around the Administrative Loop until all work is completed. Once completed, work will continue eastward in front of Building 1M from Mar. 13 to Friday, Mar.h 23. Based upon the progress of the first two sections, and weather permitting, the orange highlighted section on the online map will be completed either prior to the Children’s Center (Building 2R) area or immediately following.
Children’s Center: Work is scheduled to be done in front of the Children’s Center during Spring Break (Friday, Mar. 30 to Apr. 6 when there will be less disruption to the parents who would be dropping off and picking up children. During this time period, the unfinished portion of Forest Hill Road Entrance will also be completed. This will require traffic entering from Forest Hill Road to continue left onto the loop road for access to campus parking areas. At no time will the Forest Hill Road section and the Children’s Center section be closed simultaneously. These remaining portions will complete the contracted work for the Loop Road. In addition during overnight hours, the Victory Blvd. entrance and exit lanes will be milled and repaved. The roadway will be open each day during this construction by 7:00am.
