The College of Staten Island recently received recognition in an article in Forbes magazine, titled “Backing University Research And Innovation Is A Prime Mission For Inclusive Capitalism,” for its efforts to foster technological innovation with an eye toward economic growth in the Borough. The article mentions the CSI Tech Incubator and CSIs upcoming engineering makerspace in particular, as examples of the College’s dynamic approach toward technological development. These efforts also support the “Borough Stewardship” Strategic Priority of the College’s latest Strategic Plan, Opportunity to Ascend.
