The College of Staten Island women’s basketball team is now on a four-game win streak after knocking off New Rochelle, 80-53, in their last outing. Today, they square off against Lancaster Bible for just the second time in program history at 1 pm in a non-conference tilt.

Players to Watch (CSI): Sophomore guard, Megan McEwan is coming off of a career-best 23 points outing while also shooting 58% from the floor. McEwan also paces the team with 3.1 assists per game after dishing out 14 total in her last three outings. Diana Todaro posted a season-high 17 rebounds against New Rochelle, just three shy of her career-best. Todaro will look to continue dominating inside the paint today as she sits second on the team with 11.7 points per game while shooting 45% from the field. Freshman standout, Kayla Schmitter has started just one game this season but has made the most of her 22 minutes per game. Schmitter is shooting a team-high 50% from the field while also leading the team with 10 blocks.
Players to Watch (LB): Caitlin Hickey leads the Chargers with 17.6 points per game and has converted the most 3-pointers on the team with 19. Hickey has quick hands on defense, leading the team with 18 steals. Lizzy Tilton is the court general, dishing out a team-high 3.7 assists per game while adding 6.4 points per game. Courtney Goyak is an absolute black hole under the basket, averaging 16.6 rebounds per game while also averaging 11.8 points per game. 
News & Notes: The Dolphins took the first-ever meeting between these two teams last season in Staten Island, NY, 79-60. The Chargers are averaging 58 points per game as a team while allowing opponents to score 65. Lancaster Bible will look to end their seven-game losing skid this afternoon while the Dolphins will look to keep their win streak alive and extend it to five in a row. Lancaster’s two wins this season both came on their home court while the Dolphins have played away from home, posting a 4-1 record on the road.
