The College of Staten Island women’s basketball squad looks to continue their good fortune tonight against Baruch College. The Dolphins return to their home court after a two-game road test which saw them pick up a pair of CUNYAC wins.

Players to Watch (CSI): In their dominating win over Lehman College, Megan McEwan and Kayla Schmitter led the way with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Schmitter collected a team-high 9 rebounds while shooting an efficient 54% from the field. The hero of the Brooklyn College win, Diana Todaro, will look to continue rolling tonight against the Bearcats.  Todaro is just one rebound shy per game of averaging a double-double for the season with 12 points and 9 rebounds per game. Nicole Imbesi and McEwan pick apart defense’s with their passing as each are averaging 2.5+ assists per game. Devin Mooney has seen an increase in minutes per game and she has taken full advantage of her opportunity. Mooney added 9 points against Lehman in 21 minutes of action, which was tied for third in the game. 
Players to Watch (BC): Melinda Spahiu led the Bearcats in scoring in their last outing, pouring in 15 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field. Samantha Genco limited second-chance opportunities by pulling down a team-high 10 rebounds. For the year, Genco sits in second with 5.1 rebounds per game while Spahiu paces the way with 8.8. Spahiu also paces the team with 3.5 assists per game. Former Dolphin, Daniela Zirpolo is third on the team with 9 points per game and leads the team with five blocks.
News & Notes: The Dolphins owned the Bearcats as of late, winning five of their last six meetings. At The Tank, Staten Island is 13-10 against the Bearcats, all-time. This series wasn’t always dominated by the Dolphins as between 2005 and 2015 the Dolphins won just one game. Over the last three meetings, the Dolphins have averaged 72 points per game while holding the Bearcats to 43 points. Baruch College has won three of the last four games after dropping six straight earlier in the season.
