After a national search, Alexander Scott has joined the Division of Student and Enrollment Services as the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management and Dean of Admissions. He is responsible for developing and implementing the College’s strategic enrollment plan in collaboration with campus stakeholders. Alex brings a data-driven approach to decision-making on strategies for long-term enrollment growth and marketing.
Alex has a 20-plus-year career dedicated to higher education, having played a key role in admissions and enrollment management at five major colleges and universities. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Enrollment Management at the College of Saint Elizabeth. As the Vice President, he led a division that increased enrollment by developing rebranding initiatives, leveraging innovative technology, and developing partnerships and collaborative agreements. Prior to serving at the College of Saint Elizabeth, Alex was the Dean of Enrollment Management at Long Island University. In this position, he was part of a team that raised applications, admits, and enrollment in key markets.
Alex’s background includes extensive experience in the field of admissions. He served as the Director of Admissions at Felician College and was promoted to Associate Vice President. During his 12 years with Fairfield University, he served in the admissions department, advancing to become the Senior Associate Director of Admissions.
Alex has a BS in Psychology from The College of William and Mary and an MA in Industrial/Organizational/Personnel Psychology from Fairfield University. He is also a member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the New Jersey Association of College Admission Counseling (NJACAC).
