In collaboration with Black History Month celebrations, the Library (Building 1L) is pleased to announce our February Monthly Movie, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. The screening will be held today at 2:30pm in the Library Theatre, (Building 1L, Room 103).
The film tells the story of an African American woman who becomes an unwitting pioneer for medical breakthroughs when her cells are used to create the first immortal human cell line in the early 1950s. The film is based on a book of the same name, available at the CSI Library.
We welcome feedback and suggestions on film topics or titles for future screenings. All events will be CC CLUE.
