World on Wednesday Lecture Series presents “Cultural Immersion in Global Health: Winter Nursing Program in Costa Rica,” featuring CSI returning students and Valkiria Duran-Narucki, Psychology,  on Wednesday, Mar. 6 in the Campus Center (Building 1C), Room 211 from 12:20pm to 1:10pm.

Come and learn about this unique three-week winter program that allows CSI Nursing students to observe clinics and hospitals within Costa Rica, primarily in the capital city of San Jose. In collaboration with the Nursing and Medical programs at the Universidad de Iberoamerica (UNIBE), students have practical learning experiences as well as take part in Spanish language classes that apply to nursing and the health sciences. Students will also share pictures and their individual experiences with the CSI community. Prof. Duran-Narucki from the Psychology Department will also share her unique experiences of her home country, Costa Rica.
