In coordination with the Department of the Library and the CSI 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising Committee, we invite you to attend the final screening in our Second Annual LGBTQ Film Festival at CSI. This final film, United in Anger: A History of ACT UP, was produced by our own Professor Sarah Schulman. The screening will take place on Monday, Apr. 15 in the Library (Building 1L) Theatre, which is in the entrance to the Library, from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
About the Film
United in Anger: A History of ACT UP is an inspiring documentary about the birth and life of the AIDS activist movement from the perspective of the people in the trenches fighting the epidemic. Utilizing oral histories of members of ACT UP, as well as rare archival footage, the film depicts the efforts of ACT UP as it battles corporate greed, social indifference, and government neglect.
Professor Matt Brim will lead a discussion after the film.
This is a CC CLUE event.
