The CSI Eta Lambda Chapter of Phi Beta Delta is pleased to offer free registration to members of our community to the 34th Phi Beta Delta Annual International Conference on Thursday and Friday, May 14 and 15, 2020 11:00am – 5:00pm EDT.
The 2020 conference, International Education in Our Changing World, will host keynote speakers, papers, and sessions exploring the impact of international education and be conducted fully online.
FREE REGISTRATION
The College of Staten Island’s Eta Lambda chapter is registered as a participant so there is no registration fee for individual participation by CSI students, faculty, staff, and scholars.
PBD members will receive the Zoom link and password in a separate email. If you are not currently a member of PBD and would like to attend, please email pbd@csi.cuny.edu to request access.
CONFERENCE PAPERS AND POSTER SESSIONS
Research papers and poster presentations will be shared online through video conferencing and screen-sharing technology. Participation in the conference is flexible and you may join any time between the hours of 11:00am and 5:00pm on May 14 and 15.
The conference will include a diverse array of academic disciplines and global perspectives, and presenters will talk about most effective methods in global teaching. The conference program is online.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Eylem Atakav, who will give a talk on “International Educators as Agents of Positive Change.”
CSI FACULTY
The conference will include 28 posters and presentations, including the presentation of Dr. Rachel Kovacs of the CSI Department of Media Culture, titled “Innovative Approaches to International Holocaust Education: A Case Study.”
