On Tuesday, Jan. 5, Chancellor Rodriguez distributed a message regarding Fall 2021 where he indicated that CUNY would “plan for a safe and gradual return to mostly in-person instruction and support services in time for the start of classes in Fall 2021.” CSI faces some unique obstacles in terms of preparedness of buildings, availability of service personnel, and classrooms large enough to maintain safe spacing. On Friday, Jan. 22, VP Berte and I convened the subcommittee chairs of the Re-entry Committee to discuss next steps. The safety of our campus community will continue to be our highest priority as we plan for a gradual return to mostly in-person instruction and support services.
