Over the last several days, the City and State have announced a reopening of New York in the upcoming weeks ahead and as a result, we must plan for more in-person experiences for our students in the fall, assuming some relaxation in social distancing, regular testing, and most members of the campus community being vaccinated.
The 25% daily campus capacity specified in Phase 3 of our re-entry plan is probably not that different than what we would experience with this fall increase to in-person experiences for students, as most students and faculty do not routinely come to campus every day. These provisions most likely will change between now and the start of the fall semester, and we will be revising our Re-Entry plan over the summer to address strategies for higher campus capacity. Please stay tuned for further guidance, we hope in the near future – and thanks to all of you for your dedication and flexibility.
Yesterday, we learned that the Governor has indicated that vaccines will be mandated for students taking in-person classes for the fall. CUNY Tweeted the following:

#VaxUpCUNY, CUNY students! COVID-19 vaccines will be required to attend in-person classes for Fall 2021. The sooner our community is vaccinated, the safer and more successful our Fall 2021 semester will be! http://cuny.edu/vaxupcuny
We will pass on more information as it becomes available.
