A virtual event in honor of Hispanic-Latinx Heritage Month at CSI, Dr. Natalie L. Kimball, Department of History, College of Staten Island, presented “Reproductive Decision Making in Post-Colonial Bolivia,” held on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
Dr. Kimball spoke about research that was the basis of their recently published book, An Open Secret: The History of Unwanted Pregnancy and Abortion in Modern Bolivia.
The event was co-sponsored by the Minor in Latin American, Caribbean, and Latina/o Studies; the Department of World Languages and Literatures; the Department of History; Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies; International Studies; the Office of Student Life – Pluralism and Diversity; and CSI’s Bertha Harris Women’s Center.
