As was announced by CUNY, the Board of Trustees voted to appoint Dr. Timothy G. Lynch, current Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Queensborough Community College, as interim president of the College of Staten Island, effective Saturday, Jan. 1, as I begin my Travia leave. I wish to congratulate Dr. Lynch on his appointment and ask the College community to welcome him into the CSI family with open arms. I believe Dr. Lynch will be a great leader for the campus and will work hard to help carry out the great work that we do for our students and the Staten Island community.
I want to thank you all for the thoughtful words, calls, and emails that I have received since I have announced my retirement. Your kindness over the last few months has meant a lot to me. Although I am retiring, I hope to come back and visit from time to time and look forward to hearing about all the new acknowledgments and accolades that the College will undoubtedly receive in the years to come.
