I would like to invite you to attend the final event of CSI’s Middle States reaccreditation process. Immediately after conducting its two-day virtual visit to campus, the evaluation team from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) will deliver its report to the CSI community on Wednesday, March 30, at 11:00am. A Zoom link to this meeting is provided below.
This final event represents the culmination of a two-year process of reflection, during which numerous campus stakeholders—faculty, staff, and students—have contributed to producing CSI’s Self-Study document. I want to express my gratitude and deep appreciation for everyone who has contributed their time and expertise to this rigorous work—explaining processes and procedures, assessing the College’s fulfillment of its mission and goals, identifying opportunities for improvement, gathering evidence, and meeting with members of the MSCHE evaluation team. CSI’s reaccreditation affects every member of the College community, and this collective effort reflects that fact.
At the Wednesday morning event, the evaluation team chairperson, President Kathryn Foster of the College of New Jersey, will present an oral version of the final report. She will indicate whether the team has found CSI to fulfill each of the seven Middle States standards in alignment with its own mission and strategic priorities. The team is likely to identify the College’s significant accomplishments and strengths as well as offer recommendations for improvement (or specific requirements if the College is found to be in non-compliance with a particular standard). Unlike the meetings conducted by the team on Monday and Tuesday, this final event will not allow time for questions and answers. A document version of the team’s report will subsequently be made available to the campus community.
