College of Staten Island graduate Krystal Lake, Founder of Cut By Krystal, a production company central to social media services, has been named to Forbes’s List of Europe’s Top 30 Under 30 in Entertainment. Lake, 28, spent a great deal of her time as an undergraduate at WSIA Radio, 88.9 FM, one of her first ventures into the entertainment industry.

During her time at CSI, Lake served as WSIA’s Music Director from 2014-2015, and moved on to Program Director from 2015-2016, graduating in June 2016.

As noted by Forbes, Lake is a former award-winning production lead at PinkNews, a UK-based online newspaper marketed to the LGBTQ+ community in the UK and worldwide. Her company, Cut By Krystal, is also based in the UK, and “With over 500,000 TikTok followers, Lake uses her platforms and company to uplift marginalized groups and educate people on topics centering on women, LGBTQ+, minorities and mental health.” Her roots in music continue, as Lake is also an international DJ for singer/songwriter and rapper Ashnikko.
