As we head towards the fall semester at the College of Staten Island, the campus is preparing students for the latest on vaccination guidelines and what to expect at the Willowbrook campus.

All students who are taking in-person or hybrid courses must submit proof of vaccination or have an approved exemption prior to August 15 to avoid deregistration and to continue in their classes. Applying for an exemption must be completed by July 25. Proof of vaccination can be done through CUNYFirst. In order to be fully vaccinated by August 15, individuals must have received their first dose of the Moderna vaccine by Wednesday, July 13, or their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine by Wednesday, July 20.

CSI is aiding in the effort to get students vaccinated and to avoid deregistration by holding a Vaccination Clinic in the Green Dolphin Lounge on Wednesday, July 20, between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Those interested in receiving their vaccine can do so free of charge on that day and can register ahead here.

To alleviate concerns, address questions, and to explain the timelines associated with returning to campus this fall, the Office of Student Affairs is holding a Vaccination Guidelines & Return-to-Campus Town Hall for all interested students. The Town Hall will take place on Wednesday, July 20, at 7pm via Zoom. All students, regardless of academic year, are welcomed to attend and to ask questions and learn more about return-to-campus protocols, vaccination guidelines and timelines, and the difference in modes of instruction. Students can attend the Town Hall through this link.
