On Thursday last week, the Global Medical Relief Fund celebrated its “Evening of Hope” gala. CSI student Ngawang (Nay Wong) Tseten was there, crediting the organization for saving his life. A Tibetan refugee from India who lost both of his arms when he was accidentally electrocuted at the age of 14, Tseten’s comments were featured in the Staten Island Advance article, “Global Medical Relief Fund honors 8 at ‘Evening of Hope’ fundraiser” written by reporter Jessica Jones-Gorman.
