Edison Zhong, a first-year student at the College of Staten Island was recently spotlighted by the Staten Island Advance as a trailblazer in the Esports arena, carrying over his passion as a senior at Susan E. Wagner High School for establishing competitive Esports for PSAL school through his new venture, EZ Esports.
The piece, written by Advance reporter Nick Regina, chronicles the obstacles Edison was faced with when trying to establish a competitive space for high school students to compete, so much so that he started his own EZ Esports venture, which saw over 200 students sign up at his high school alma mater alone. Now a freshman at CSI, Edison is part of CSI’s League of Legends team, and is looked at as a major ‘player’ in the Esports community citywide. Read the full story on the SILive.
