The Staten Island Advance recently featured the College of Staten Island’s new venture in the Offshore Wind Energy initiative, part of the $566,000 state investment made to the College by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The article, written by Advance reporter Joseph Ostapiuk, centers around the arrival of a seven-foot turbine that will occupy space on campus where interdisciplinary study can be conducted by CSI students in workforce development programs through Master’s Degree pursuits.
