The Latin American, Caribbean, and Latina/o Studies (LACLS) with the support of the CUNY’s Black, Race and Ethnic Studies Initiative (BRESI) is proud to present a film screening of the documentary “Exilios” (Exiles) (in Spanish with English subtitles),  followed by Q&A with filmmaker Carmen Vidal, today at 2:30pm.

Carmen Vidal is a writer, producer, director of photography, and film director. Among other recognitions, she won the Student Academy Award®  (Oscar) in 2006, and over the past years her work received several NY Emmy® awards.

“Exilios” (Exiles) tells the stories of three different families that left Spain under Franco’s dictatorship and exiled in Mexico.
