The Office of Research is excited to announce a new pilot program developed in collaboration with our research partners — the Hudson River Park Trust (HRPT).

There will be one funding cycle in 2023 for the CUNY-HRPT Visiting Scholars Research Pilot.

The application deadline is Monday, May 15, 2023 at 11:59pm.

This year’s call for proposals will focus on identifying projects that reflect the Park’s interest in innovative approaches to understanding current and emerging issues for the Lower Hudson River Estuary.

The Park intends to fund two projects with budgets up to $10,000 each, inclusive of a 12% indirect cost rate. For eligibility and submission details, review the program guidelines.

The program welcomes applications from scholars in a variety of fields, including but not limited to marine biology, ecology, environmental science, urban planning, and architecture. As a visiting scholar, you will have access to research resources and facilities in the Hudson River Park, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with other scholars and researchers.

To apply, please visit our Website and submit your application by May 15, 2023.

All questions should be directed to croble@hrpt.ny.gov using the subject line “CUNY Visiting Scholar Grant” and must be received by Monday, May by, 5:00pm.
