Members of the Academic Freedom Committee of the CSI Faculty Senate invite you to join a virtual presentation and discussion on Academic Freedom @ CUNY 2024 on Friday, December 6, 2:30-3:30 p.m., led by the University Faculty Senate Academic Freedom Committee. The topics will include the following:

  1. What is academic freedom (AF)?
  2. Why should everyone care about AF?
  3. Why is AF important at CUNY?
  4. Historic examples of AF violations.
  5. AF and students (undergrad/grad)
  6. AF violations: what to do?

There will be opportunity for Q&A. We encourage all faculty, particularly Department Chairs, to attend.
