The College of Staten Island is partnering with NYC DOT, Bike New York, and the Staten Island FerryHawks to host a bike donation drive, aimed at supporting Staten Islanders in need. The initiative encourages the community to donate used bicycles in any condition for riders of all ages.
Donated bikes will be refurbished by Bike New York before being distributed to local residents. As a token of appreciation, donors will receive two Staten Island FerryHawks tickets for each bike they contribute.
Drop-off Details at the College of Staten Island are:
- Date: Saturday, February 22, and Saturday, March 8
- Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Location: College of Staten Island, Parking Lot #6
Other drop-off locations and dates are also available across Staten Island, including Snug Harbor Cultural Center, SIUH Community Park, Wagner College, Great Kills Municipal Parking Lot, Huguenot Municipal Parking Lot, and New Dorp Municipal Parking Lot (see flyer below for more details).
