This session offers an opportunity to explore the basic principles and contours of academic freedom in higher education. Topics will include academic freedom of faculty, of students, and of the University itself; how academic freedom is protected; and what are some current challenges to academic freedom, particularly in the context of protest activity involving Israel/Palestine and the war against Hamas in Gaza.
