The School of Education at the College of Staten Island is proud to announce the XVIII Mathematics Connections Conference, an exciting two-day event spotlighting groundbreaking approaches to mathematics education from around the world. The conference kicks off with a captivating keynote by Imre Kökényesi, designer and educational innovator from the University of Budapest, Hungary. His presentation, “CogniPlay: A Game & AI-Powered Method to Enhance Skills and Knowledge in Young Learners,” introduces an inventive pedagogical model that combines hands-on learning with digital tools and artificial intelligence.
CogniPlay encourages students to engage through creativity, curiosity, collaboration, compassion, and critical thinking. The method’s blended approach—utilizing both tangible and online games—offers a personalized and adaptive learning experience, continuously informed by real-time feedback.
Day 2: Bridging Language and Learning in African Classrooms
