We are pleased to inform you that heating is now being supplied to all campus buildings as of this morning. Please review the following important details:
- Heating is active campus-wide.
- Administrative Buildings (1A, 2A, 3A): Our team will be manually “keying” each fan coil unit over the next day or two. Until your unit has been adjusted, please set your thermostat to “cool” mode to receive heat.
- All other areas: Fan coil units will automatically switch to heating mode — no special action is required beyond normal thermostat adjustments.
- Energy conservation: The campus heating system automatically shuts off when outdoor temperatures exceed 55°F.
- Portable heaters: Please refrain from using personal space heaters, as they can overload electrical circuits and pose safety risks.
As temperatures fluctuate, we expect an increase in comfort adjustment requests. If you experience heating issues or have concerns, please contact Facilities Management at 718.982.3204 or 3205.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we complete the transition to heating season.
