In response to the concerns raised at the last General Chairs meeting, the Provost’s Office and Facilities Management have partnered to clarify the work request process. Thank you for updating your staff representatives in Archibus. While fulfillment times depend on available resources, following these steps will help ensure faster responses:

  • Review the online CSI Facilities Requests Guide for instructions on submitting and following up on requests. Each office should designate one or two staff members to enter requests in Archibus.
  • Use the order Work Order Categories to select the correct category, which helps route your request to the appropriate department. For complex issues, or if you’re unsure which category to use, please contact Facilities at 718.982.3210.
  • For emergencies (such as flooding or electrical outages), contact Public Safety directly at 718.982.2111.
  • Check on older requests by logging into Archibus to view status updates and notes. If an issue remains unresolved, please call Facilities or resubmit the request, verifying that the correct category is selected.

Some of you mentioned ongoing or unresolved concerns. Before resubmitting, please review existing records and, if necessary, submit a new request. The Facilities Management team anticipates an increase in submissions as the system and workflow updates are implemented.
