College of Staten Island President Dr. Timothy G. Lynch welcomed the College campus to Convocation on Thursday, held in the Center for the Arts’ Williamson Theater. The annual gathering highlights achievements made by the College and an outlook on what is ahead. Faculty and staff celebrating milestones of service in five-year intervals were also acknowledged in the ceremony, which was followed by a holiday reception held in the Atrium of the Center for the Arts.

After welcoming remarks by Interim Provost Dr. Nathalia Holtzman and a video chronicling highlights of the past year, Dr. Lynch welcomed guests and ……

“The state of the College of Staten Island is strong—and getting stronger,” remarked President Lynch. “As we approach the milestone of 50 years of CSI and of 70 years of public higher education in our Borough, there is much of which we can and should take pride. We are a community that believes in opportunity, excellence, and resilience. Together, we will continue to innovate, inspire, and lead.”

Following Dr. Lynch’s remarks, he highlighted 125 faculty and staff celebrating milestone achievements of service, starting with those who are celebrating their 5th year of service to CSI and ending with CSI’s lone faculty member with 55 years of service, Professor Alfred Levine.
