The College of Staten Island has once again been recognized for its dedication to serving military-affiliated students and their families, earning a Gold Rank as a 2026-2027 Military Friendly® School, underscoring its ongoing commitment to veterans and active-duty service members.

Awarded by Viqtory, the Military Friendly® recognition is one of higher education’s most respected acknowledgments of institutions that offer exceptional support, access, and opportunities for military-connected learners. The Gold designation places CSI among the top institutions in the nation for its comprehensive programs and resources that enhance academic success and life-long achievement for veteran students.

“We are honored to once again be recognized as a Military Friendly® School for veterans and their families,” said CSI President Dr. Timothy G. Lynch. “At CSI, we are dedicated to providing the support, resources, and community they need to achieve their academic ambitions and successfully transition to the next chapter of their professional and personal lives. This continued distinction by Military Friendly® reflects our enduring commitment to creating meaningful pathways for veterans and military-connected students to thrive on our campus.”

CSI’s Office of Veterans Services collaborates with campus partners to deliver a wide range of support, including academic planning, career services, peer mentoring, and access to benefits such as the GI Bill. The College also offers dedicated spaces for veterans and military families to connect, build community, and receive personalized assistance with their educational goals.
