Attention students: The CSI Student Government/Leadership Nomination period closes soon.

The Nomination Period to run for seats on the 2026/2027 Academic Year Student Government or other Student leadership positions is open until Tuesday, Mar. 24 at 11:59pm.

Are you interested in being a student leader? Do you want to make a difference and have your voice be heard? Do you know a student who would be a great leader? Then nominate yourself or encourage a student to nominate themselves for one of the Student Government Senator, including President and Vice President, and/or Organization Leadership positions. You can make a difference.

Eligible students may nominate themselves for seats on Student Government, the CSI Association, CSI Auxiliary Services Corp., College Council, and the Faculty/Student Disciplinary Committee. Descriptions of these roles/organizations are detailed online.

In order to run for and hold these positions, CUNY has set the following eligibility requirements: You must be matriculated in a degree or credit-bearing certificate program at the College of Staten Island; undergraduate students must carry a minimum of six credit hours in Spring 2026 and have a minimum 2.25 GPA; graduate students must carry a minimum of three credit hours in Spring 2026 and have a minimum 3.0 GPA; in order to serve each semester, a student must have completed and earned passing grades in at least 50 percent of the credits for which he or she registered the prior semester, Fall 2025, but in no event fewer than three credits. Additional eligibility criteria applies, all of which are detailed within the Nomination Form.
