The required CUNY Compliance Trainings for the 2026–2027 academic year are now available and can be accessed through the Compliance section in Brightspace.
These mandatory trainings support a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment and help ensure compliance with New York State and CUNY requirements.
Required Trainings:
- Employee Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Course (ESPARC) – Required for all employees.
- Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) – Required for all employees
- Gender-Based Violence Training (GBVT) – Required for Human Resources professionals and supervisors/managers with at least one direct report.
- *Understanding Title VI Training – Required for all employees and will be assigned later in the fall semester. Additional information regarding availability will be shared separately.
How to Access Your Trainings:
- Log in to Brightspace using your CUNYfirst credentials.
- Navigate to the Compliance section under My Courses.
- Open each assigned course and complete it in its entirety.
Completion Deadlines:
- Full-time employees must complete all assigned trainings by May 28, 2027.
- Part-time employees, adjuncts, and other temporary employees should complete trainings before the end of their employment period or semester to ensure completion is recorded while they maintain access to Brightspace and CUNY systems.
