The nomination period for student leadership positions, including Student Government, is currently on. The below email was sent to all students to inform them of this. It would be terrific if you could speak to students in your classes/areas who you believe would be interested in running, and encourage them to nominate themselves. Attention students. CSI Student elections are coming. Nominations are now open.
The Nomination Packet is available online (use your SLAS account user name and password to log in).
Have your voice be heard. Make a difference. Nominations are now open for the Spring Student Elections, where students are elected to leadership positions for the 2012-2013 academic year. You can run for seats on the following organizations:
-Student Government (including seats for President and Vice President)
-CSI Association
-Auxiliary Services Corporation
-College Council
-Faculty Student Disciplinary Committee
These leadership opportunities afford you with excellent résumé experience along with the opportunity to gain insight into the economic and political aspects of college life.
The completed Nomination Packet, including the candidates platform statement described in “How to Become a Candidate,” must be submitted by 3:00pm on Friday, Mar. 23, 2011.
