Ellen-ge Denton (Assistant Professor) received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Education, at Hampton University. She received her PsyD in School Psychology from St. Johns University and a subsequent Masters degree in Biostatistics from Columbia University. While completing her Post Doc at Columbia University, Dr. Denton focused her research interests on sociocultural predictors of depression in cardiovascular disease populations. Currently she is working to identify, neighborhood and personal level, cultural indicators of depression. She incorporates her clinical practice in leading international missions’ trips to work with sexually and physically abused orphans.
