The film, Shadow in Baghdad will be screened on Thursday, Apr. 24 in Building 2N, Room 111 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
It is the story of an Iraqi journalist who uncovered the story of Linda Abdul Aziz, who escaped to Israel from Iraq in the early 1970s. Linda’s father remained in Iraq only to disappear with his fate remaining unknown.
Shir Mnuchin, Linda’s daughter, will share her perspective on her family’s story and the persecution that decimated the once thriving Jewish community of Baghdad. The film was nominated for a Social Justice Award at the International Film Festival.
