The Dean’s Symposium Series will present “Transnational Adoption: Different Experiences of Motherhood,” with
Patti Gross, Lecturer, Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work, and Hosu Kim, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work, on Tuesday, Apr. 29 in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P) Lecture Hall from 2:30pm to 4:20pm.
Transnational adoptions have gotten increased attention both for their impact on the individuals directly involved and the political implications for their countries. A sociologist and clinical social worker explore the complexity of them, paying special attention to the people directly affected and their varying perspectives.
