Originally from Maine, Sean F. Edgecomb joins CSI after spending three years as an Assistant Professor of Drama at the University of Queensland, Australia. He holds a Ph.D. in Drama from Tufts University (2009). His teaching interests include theatre history, dramatic literature, critical theory, acting and directing. His research primarily considers mid-century queer theatre practitioners, queer legacies, cultural ethnography and iconography. He has published in several international journals and his book on Charles Ludlam is forthcoming from University of Michigan Press. Recent productions that he has directed include Manjula Padmanabhan’s HARVEST (2011) and Sophie Treadwell’s MACHINAL (2013.)
