April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and I would like to share valuable information and resources available to sustain our continued efforts to prevent sexual violence and to create a safer campus.
The College is committed to promoting the well-being and safety of all community members. We want to provide support and guidance to those who may experience sexual harassment or violence, including intimate partner or dating violence, or stalking – either on or off campus. Our CUNY Policy of Sexual Misconduct outlines the resources for assistance that are available and I encourage you to read it.
These issues are extremely serious and often difficult to discuss and report. We are dedicated to helping any student or other member of our community in need of professional assistance. We also encourage you to report all cases involving any form of sexual violence and/or stalking to the NYPD – or call 911 in a case of immediate danger.
