Dr. Susan J. Brillhart, PhD, RN-C, PNP-BC, is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of pediatric nursing experience. She will be joining CSI as a full-time tenured member of the nursing department, and is transferring from BMCC with over 20 years in the CUNY/SUNY system. She has enjoyed teaching students at the AAS, BS, MS, and Doctoral level. Susan’s areas of clinical expertise include infant/toddler, Pediatric ICU, pediatric liver transplant, child abuse, adolescent clinic, and medically fragile foster children. She is committed for caring for and about children and their families, and enjoys carrying that commitment through to community volunteer activities, including building with Habitat for Humanity and being a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for medically fragile foster children and their siblings. Susan is excited to be here, and enjoyed meeting the adorable welcoming committee (two raccoons) while moving into her office in 5S Tuesday night!
