Players to Watch (CSI):  Forward Adrian Cosovic was finally able to break his seven game goalless streak on Wednesday with a four goal performance against CUNYAC opponents York College. Cosovic was dangerous in front of goal all season taking shot after shot but was unable to find the back of the net until Wednesday.  Today he will hope for a similar performance against the Cougars.  Ryan Layman has been dominant in his role in the center of the pitch.  Layman is sixth on the team in total minutes played with a goal to his name but what he does for the Dolphins can’t be shown on the stat sheets.
Players to Watch (MEC): Nestor Silvas has two goals to his name this year which is part of a four way tie for first on the team.  Silvas leads the way out of that bunch with 412 minutes played and six starts while taking 11 shots.  Dave Henry is the center piece for the team in this midfield and isn’t one to shy away from taking a shot as he leads his team with four assists and 8 points.  Kevin Ngwolo has allowed just 9 goals this season, with one shutout, and has had to make 30 saves.
News and Notes: Medgar Evers looks to be a much improved squad from a season ago. Last season they scored just 11 goals all year while allowing 114.  This season they have already bested their goal total from last season with 12 just six games into the season.  The Cougars will be going up against the Dolphins who they haven’t beaten since a 5-4 win in 2011. CSI has outscored the Cougars 35-2 since 2012 and has the talent this year to keep that margin the same.  CSI has allowed just five goals through eight games this year while scoring 17 of their own.  When playing at the CSI Soccer Complex against the Cougars, CSI is 12-8-1.
