The College of Staten Island men’s tennis team will travel up the road to take on Division I opponents, Wagner College, this afternoon at 4:00 pm. The Dolphins have corrected their early season woes and have put together a strong four-match win streak heading into today’s match.

Players to Watch (CSI): Andrew Adia toppled his opponent in their last outing, 6-1, 6-3 in the 9-0 rout of St. Joseph’s – LI from the no. 2 slot. In the top spot, Matthew Vesci quickly picked up a win for his team and will hope to carry that momentum over to today’s match. Mitchel Voloshin and Mohamed El Sayed have played well together in doubles this season and recently picked up an 8-3 win.
Players to Watch (WAG): Charlton Boyd has lost just one match this season and boasts a 16-1 record heading into today’s match. His lone loss came on court six and has won seven straight since that loss. Dylan Walters has played 12 matches in the no. 1 slot for the Seahawks and is 5-7. Eric Poland is a mid-court player, playing courts 3-5 with a 9-8 record. 
News & Notes: The Dolphins are on a late-season run, winning four straight, heading into today’s match against their DI counterparts. Wagner is on a three-match win streak of their own and will use today’s match as a tune-up for the NEC playoffs which start on Friday. Staten Island still has four more matches before the start of their playoffs which includes two CUNYAC matches with York College and John Jay College.
