As a reminder to all, the Faculty Center is here to assist you in any way possible during the Intersession and in preparation of your Spring 2021 courses. For those interested, there are still seats available in both Winter cohorts of our Bb Basics and Teaching Remotely courses. If you have not yet taken advantage of these wonderful online teaching and learning training resources, you still have time to enroll. Available course sections are as follows:
Blackboard Basics Course
- This is a self-paced general overview of the basic tools and functions inside CUNY’s current installation of Blackboard. We will be running one ongoing cohort beginning Monday, Jan. 4 through Saturday, Jan. 23. Enrollment will be ongoing until 5:00pm on Friday, Jan. 22.
Teaching Remotely: Pedagogical Practices and Practical Skills Course:
- This two-week advanced-level course has been designed to fully instruct teaching faculty, department facilitators, and course developers at CSI in the actions and preferred techniques required to effectively stage and develop fully online courses. We will be running one ongoing cohort beginning Monday, Jan. 11 through to Saturday, Jan. 23. Enrollment will be ongoing until 5:00pm on Friday, Jan. 22.

In addition to the above courses, we will be holding Virtual Drop-in Center hours from 4:00pm to 6:00pm daily for the remainder of this week. As always, all of our Drop-in and training sessions can be accessed via the direct access links provided below, or by using the Virtual Drop-in Center buttons located on the main page of the Faculty Center Info Hub (CSI) Bb Organization available to all teaching faculty at CSI.
