The College is excited to share an improvement to CSI Shuttle service that will begin on the first day of the Spring 2024 semester.
As of Thursday, Jan. 25, an additional bus will be added to service the Shuttle route, Mondays through Fridays.
What you can expect:
· Reliable 45-minute intervals between buses at both the Willowbrook campus and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
· Monday-Friday, the first Shuttle departs the Ferry Terminal at 7:05am; the last shuttle will leave campus at 10:05pm.
· On Saturdays, one Shuttle will be in service from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
What this means:
· To accommodate the additional Shuttle bus service to the SI Ferry Terminal, full Loop Service will be suspended as of Wednesday, Jan. 24.
· Enhanced Shuttle service will include stops for pick-up and drop-off at the Victory Boulevard entrance to campus (at the bus shelter near the exit lanes).
· Passengers arriving on campus from the Ferry Terminal may disembark the Shuttle at the Victory Boulevard entrance or at the center of campus in front of the Center for the Arts (Building 1P).
· Passengers exiting campus may board the Shuttle in front of Building 2A or at the Victory Boulevard entrance before service continues to the Ferry Terminal.
· Based on community feedback, enhanced service reduces wait-time between Shuttle busses and will ultimately serve more students.
Additional Information:
· To access Shuttle services, a valid Dolphin Card with the Transportation Access Code (TAC) is required to be presented upon boarding the vehicle.
· All enrolled CSI students automatically have TAC embedded in their Dolphin Cards.
· All faculty and staff who wish to utilize Shuttle service are required to pay the same fees as students – Fall/Winter semester, $40; Spring semester, $40; Summer semester, $20/each session.
· Faculty and staff may remit payment of their fees to Parking and Dolphin Card Services, Building 3A, Room 106 during business hours or online.
· Students who need a Dolphin Card should visit Parking and Dolphin Card Services during business hours.
We hope these enhancements improve the reliability of your commute.
As always, your feedback is welcome. Take a moment to complete a CSI Transportation Feedback form.
